Description
Xiao Chai Hu Tang Wan is an ancient TCM formula first recorded in in the Treatise on Febrile Disease (Shang Han Lun) in about 280 AD. Traditionally this formula was used to treat people experiencing symptoms usually associated with chronic hepatitis B such as loss of appetite, nausea and mild abdominal discomfort.
Nowadays the formula is known in TCM for its antiviral and antibacterial properties, including inhibition of hepatitis B virus and improvement of the immune function. This is why it is commonly used in China for individuals unable to take conventional antiviral therapies.
Xiao Chai Hu Tang Wan is recommended in the following conditions:
- Hepatitis B
- Abdominal pain
- Ribcage pain
- Flu, cold and other common infections’ symptoms such as fever, cough, chills, dry mouth, sore throat, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, dizziness, lack of appetite
